Meet Lindsey
Big Heart. Creative Mind.
Originally from the Midwest, my interest in sewing began in high school,
when I chose it as an elective. I have always loved all things art, and have dabbled in many different artistic mediums. Little did I know that sewing would become a passion.
I got married and became a mother in my early twenties. I then decided to get my Residential Planning diploma and, subsequently, my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, all while working a corporate job and owning/operating my own full service salon and spa.
It would then be from a hair client that I learned how to quilt after secretly always being curious about it. I soaked it all in. Then I started quilting for family and friends all while building on the basics I learned.
Five years later, my family and I, moved to Georgia to put down new roots due to a job change and I had my second son. Fast forward and we found ourselves, like many, in the pandemic of Coronavirus. Needing something to do I happened upon a YouTube video of a now famous Chicagoan who makes handbags. I then knew I had to try it. Along the way I joined many Facebook forums and met new fellow sewing friends who helped me along the way to make my first bag for a very close friend of mine.
My mother helped me buy my first industrial sewing machine and I have been working on it and my domestic machine ever since. Sewing isn't just a hobby but now a new beginning. I am not just making things. I am building a brand...one hand crafted with love in Georgia, and one that I hope you will all feel proud to have a part in. Sewing has always been fulfilling in many ways. It is a means for catharsis and it brings me joy knowing my hand crafted "makes" will bring joy to someone else.
I currently live in McDonough, GA with my husband, my two sons, my daughter, a Dalmatian, and a Green Cheek conure. I grew up in a Northwest suburb of Chicago. I love the Cubbies, Chicago hotdogs, and Lou Malnati's pizza. Some other loves include mystery crime shows, shopping for fabric, and catching up with friends from back home.
